Meet Scooby! This two-year-old fetch champion is ready to steal your heart (and your spot on the couch).
Scooby is a Black Mouth Cur mix with the perfect balance of brains, sweetness, and playful energy. He knows all his basic commands—Sit, Down, Paw, High Five, Stay, and Come—and has an excellent recall. He’s also potty trained, incredibly food-motivated, and eager to learn more.
Scooby is a social butterfly when it comes to other dogs! He loves playing with his four-legged friends, but on walks, his excitement sometimes gets the best of him—so he’s still working on his leash manners when he sees other pups.
At first, he can be a little shy, but once he warms up, he’s all about love—even with the little humans! His favorite pastimes include playing fetch, winning tug-of-war matches, and, of course, snuggling up for movie nights.
Scooby came to us from Bonita Animal Shelter, where he spent six long months. The stress took a toll, and he was at risk of euthanasia after refusing to eat. But now? He’s thriving, and mealtime is one of his favorite parts of the day (second only to cuddle time).
