Please remember, all of our dogs are survivors of living a life of homelessness, neglect, abuse, or living in a shelter. Our rescue dogs have been through a lot, so we are really committed to finding the very best forever home and happily ever after for each one of them. Our goal at Road To Freedom Rescue is to make the best adoption match taking into consideration the dog’s background and your family's needs. Every dog is different: personality, temperament, energy, comfort with kids and other animals, medical needs and more. We take all these factors into consideration when making a furever-home match. We are very careful about the placements we make. We do our best to match the right dog with the right adoptive home because we want this to be the dog's forever home.
We appreciate you wanting to add a rescue dog to your family. In order for us to find the right dog for you, we need you to submit an adoption application.
We will review your application upon receipt. If we have any questions or concerns, we will contact you for clarity.
After the phone interview if we feel you are good candidate to adopt a rescue dog the search for your new fur baby will begin. We can discuss dogs in our care that you are specifically interested in or we can discuss the dogs currently in our foster care program or the dogs who will be coming up for adoption soon. We will determine who may be a good fit for you and your family.
Once we determine the best potential fit for you a Road To Freedom Rescue representative will conduct a home visit. During the home visit, we look for potential hazards for the dog that the potential adopter may not have considered.
Once your home check is complete and approved we will schedule a time for a meet greet. This process is when a representative from Road To Freedom Rescue will meet you and all members of your household including your dogs that are part of your family. During the meet and greet we will determine if it is a good match for you and the dog.
If it a good match you will sign the adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee. Then the best part happens. You take your new family home with you that day.
